These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Moosh website, Mac app, account, licensing API, and related services (together, the “Service”). Moosh is operated from Portugal.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Moosh is a macOS storage inspector and cleaner. It helps you find potentially disposable files, understand why they were suggested, review a selection, and explicitly confirm a cleanup.
Moosh does not promise that every file can be found, that every suggestion is suitable for your needs, or that a file moved to Trash can always be recovered. You remain responsible for your files, backups, and cleanup decisions.
2. Supported systems and distribution
Moosh supports macOS 14 Sonoma and later. Releases are distributed directly rather than through the Mac App Store. Public releases are intended to use Developer ID signing, hardened runtime, and Apple notarization. Update authenticity may also be verified by the app’s update mechanism.
3. Accounts and license keys
Some features require a Moosh account. You must provide an email address you control and keep your license credentials private. You are responsible for activity performed through your account or license. Contact us promptly if you believe either has been compromised.
4. Plans and payments
Moosh may offer one-time licenses including:
- Single use: one successful Moosh cleanup on one Mac.
- Lifetime: unlimited use on up to three Macs under one license.
- Additional Mac: one additional device seat for an eligible lifetime license, up to a maximum of ten Macs on that license.
The plan, price, currency, and any applicable tax or discount shown at checkout control the purchase. Stripe processes checkout and payment. Each license applies to the Moosh major version purchased and does not automatically include future major versions unless we expressly say otherwise.
5. Your responsibilities
You must use Moosh only on devices and files you own or are authorized to manage. Do not bypass macOS permissions, tamper with the app or license system, or use the Service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure. Additional rules are in the Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account, purchase, device, and website information. Moosh is designed to keep scan paths, file names, and scan results on your Mac.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, belongs to Moosh or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with your purchased license. They do not transfer ownership.
8. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, including pricing and supported versions. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve access to active license management and fulfillment functions.
9. Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We are not responsible for data loss caused by your decisions, other software, system failures, or use outside the documented safety model. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The updated version will be published here with a new updated date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
