More apps, a little more breathing room
Moosh now finds more of the caches your everyday apps leave behind.
I’ve taught Moosh a few more places to look for leftover caches, without adding more switches to fiddle with. It’s all part of App Caches.
- Chat app caches from Slack and Discord, including Canary and PTB.
- Generated audio and waveform caches from Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder.
- Launcher caches from Steam and Battle.net, leaving games, saves, and mods alone.
- More editor caches and obsolete extensions from VS Code, VS Code Insiders, and Cursor, plus package download caches from Zed and caches from Postman and Insomnia.
- Temporary streams and artwork from Apple Podcasts, image caches from NetNewsWire, and network caches from MindNode.
Moosh recognizes more app names now, too. App-specific cleanup waits until the apps that use those caches are closed. Your projects, drafts, current extensions, and downloaded episodes stay put, and mixed caches that may hold Local History or Spotify offline music stay protected.
You still get to review everything before cleaning. Thanks for giving Moosh a go!
